Arjuna Awardee Bajrang Punia has conquered most of the available titles in his weight category and would step on the mat with the determination to defend the title which the NCR Punjab Royals have secured for the past 2 seasons.
Bajrang Punia has won successive gold medals last year at the Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast where he beat Welshman Kane Charig and Asian Games in Jakarta beating Japanese Wrestler Takatani Daichi, thus, improving his performance from 2014 where he won silver medals at the Commonwealth and Asian games. He has gained numerous other medals at the World, Asian and Commonwealth Championships.
Players such as Amit Dhankar who has won gold at the 2013 Asian championships and Korey Jarvis who lost out to Indian Sumit Malik in the 125 Kg category in the 2018 Commonwealth Games will be helping Punia and the Punjab Royals to complete a hat-trick of titles in the PWL Season 4.
