The newest franchise which will participate in the Pro Wrestling League this season will be the MP Yodha and they have selected young starlets such as Pooja Dhanda and Ritu Phogat to represent them in their maiden appearance in the competition.
Dhanda bagged a silver medal at the 2018 Commonwealth Games after narrowly losing out to Nigeria’s Odunayo Adekuoraye. She also won a bronze medal at the World Championship last year and would be hoping to replicate her amazing performances over the course of the PWL Season 4. Ritu Phogat comes from a family that is famous for producing champion wrestlers and Ritu has carved her own identity through her performances bagging Gold at the Commonwealth Wrestling Championship in 2016 and bronze at 2017 Asian championship.
The other major players on the MP Yodhas roster for this campaign will include 2016 Asian wrestling champion Sandeep Tomar and 3-time World champion and 2-time European champion Haji Aliyev from Azerbaijan.
The 4th season of the Pro Wrestling League commences on Monday, January 14, 2019, and will conclude with the final on January 31, 2019. The live coverage will begin at 7 PM IST every evening on Sony SIX (English) and Sony TEN3 and Sony WAH (Hindi). The live streaming can be accessed through the Sony LIV app.
